Asparagus Stuffed Chicken

 

How to make chicken breast stuffed with asparagus recipe
Preheat the oven: We recommend anywhere between 350-400F. For this stuffed chicken recipe we used 400 F.
Season the chicken: Place the chicken on a clean cutting board and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Make a pocket in the chicken: Start cutting each part lengthwise to create the pockets. Be careful not to cut all the way through. Start with the thicker upper part of the breast as shown in the how-to video below.
Stuff the chicken: Add 3 asparagus springs and 2 slices of sun-dried tomatoes to a slice of mozzarella, then roll to set inside. Stuff chicken breasts with it. Close the pocket with a toothpick.

Cook on a skillet: Heat the oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium to high heat. Then add the chicken and saute until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side.

The Baking: Finally, bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked through and no longer pink on the inside. Enjoy!

Boneless, skinless chicken breast
Swiss cheese or mozzarella
garlic powder (to taste)
Onion powder (to taste)
sweet pepper (to taste)
Italian seasoning (to taste)
Salt and black pepper
Asparagus spears, clippers
Panko breadcrumbs (optional)
