Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread

Ingredients:

  • 240 ml (1 cup) warm  milk
  •  egg
  • 75 g (1/4 cup) condensed milk
  • 30 g (2 tbsp) sugar
  • 7 g (2 ¼ tsp) dry yeast
  • 520 g (4 ¼ cup) flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50 g (1/4 cup) softened butter
  • 45 g (3 tbsp) butter
  • 45 g (3 tbsp) condensed milk

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Yeast Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, sugar, and condensed milk until well combined. Add the dry yeast and the egg, then whisk again until fully incorporated.
  2. Mix the Dough: Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet ingredients, mixing continuously. Using dough hooks or your hands, work the dough until it starts to come together. Add the softened butter and knead the dough for about ten minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  3. First Rise: Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rest in a warm place for about one hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  4. Shape the Dough: Divide ⅔ of the dough and roll it out into a rectangle measuring approximately 25×40 cm. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into pieces. Arrange the dough pieces in a preheated baking dish. Repeat this process with the remaining 1/3 of the dough to create smaller buns.
  5. Second Rise: Let the shaped dough rest for another hour until it has risen again.
  6. Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush the top of each bun with an egg wash to give them a golden-brown finish.
  7. Bake: Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown. For the smaller buns, bake for about 20 minutes.
  8. Final Touch: While the buns are still warm, whisk together the butter and condensed milk in equal proportions. Brush this mixture generously over the warm buns.
  9. Cool and Serve: Once the buns are completely cooled, remove them from the baking pans and serve.

Enjoy your delicious, fluffy condensed milk bread!
