Orange Cream Cheese Loaf Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese (1 package), softened
- ½ cup butter (1 stick), softened
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- Zest of 1 orange
- Topping: ¼ cup fresh orange juice
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add the sugar and eggs, beating until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the orange zest, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool for about 15 minutes in the pan. Then, pour the orange juice over the top, allowing it to absorb into the loaf before slicing.
Enjoy!
