Ingredients:
1 ½ cups crumbs from graham crackers
½ a cup melted butter (unsalted)
A can of sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces)
One cup semisweet chocolate chips (or other suitable mix-ins like caramel, nuts or white chocolate chips)
Coconut, shredded (optional) – 1 cup
Chopped nuts – 1cup(optional)
Additional toppings (optional): powdered sugar for dusting, additional chocolate drizzle, or whipped cream for serving.
Instructions:
Preheat your oven: Before baking put the oven on at 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan measuring about 9×13 inches or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the crust: Mix well the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs until they are combined in one bowl. Firmly press the mixture onto the bottom of your prepared pan evenly.
Making layers: spread across the graham cracker crust in a uniform manner. Also, scatter even chocolate chips (or other mix-ins) across the condensed milk layer. Put grated coconut and chopped nuts on top of the chocolates, if you wish.
Baking: Preheat oven and leave in for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set. In fact, to be more precise, bars will still appear soft and goey in their middle as expected.
Cooling And Serving: On a wire rack, cool the bars entirely while still in the pan. After that cut them square shaped or into bars. Serve with additional melted chocolate or dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
They make an amazing treat for any occasion! Ooey Gooey Bars are loved by many people because they are so deliciously indulgent!
